What is the difference between hemp and Marijuana ?

When it comes to the differences between hemp and marijuana, it is crucial to note that both are types of cannabis. However, they do have one key difference: THC. THC is the compound responsible for creating a euphoric ‘high’. In federally legal hemp, which is the source of our products, you will find high amounts of CBD (cannabidiol) and low amounts of THC (below 0.3%, which is less than half of 1 whole percent). On the other hand, marijuana contains high amounts of THC and low amounts of CBD. It is worth mentioning that while both types of cannabis can be used to produce CBD, only hemp-derived CBD has been deemed federally legal by the 2018 Farm Bill.
